  • Give and it will be given onto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. It starts with the giving and like you said Matt, don't forget to expect, as well, to recieve.

    God Bless!
  • I will remember this one, I have heard it time and time again. Add value.
  • nice post. thanks.
  • Matt,
You always add value to many lives, keep up the good spirit!
True, adding value to someone's life pays you back. I work in the hospital and most of the time I give a smile to my patients and this brightens their life. When they are discharged, they come back with flowers, cards and some times take me for a dinner. Some of them have become friends. The holy scriptures tells us that blessed are those who give, for they shall receive plenty.
Thank you for the short but powerful episode!

  • Thanks for sharing that Charles. Amazing how good YOU feel when you make someone else feel good.
  • Matt,
Great episode! It's ironic that my personal mission is "To live a principle-centered life based upon Biblical teachings and to be a person of value and positive influence in the lives of the people within my circle of influence." Thanks for the confirmation that I'm on the right path. Lets catch up soon.

    Be Blessed -Nate
  • Love your personal mission! Mine is To enjoy and give to others, God's gift of love, happiness and passion.

Looks like I should do an episode around creating a personal mission statement. :)

Such a small thing, acknowledging a person's existence; such a huge impact.

    Great series Matt. Thanks.
  • Matt,

Before Zig Ziglar was Luke 6:38 and Mark 4:24.

It is a principle programmed into creation.

Give First without expectation of anything in return and be nicely surprised about the return you will see.

This world would be a much better place if we all gave first instead of screaming about our rights and trying to get something at someone else's loss.

    Great timeless message,
    Eric Standlee
  • Well said Eric!

thanks Matt- as always you make my monday now
  • Hi Matt
Thanx so much for your unconditional giving - it is a real example for many of us. I actually used you as an example recently when someone said that she didn't actually know and truly rich people who actually did anything other than give their money to help the Universe. So thank you for your example. I am looking forward to chatting to you again in JHB at the seminar. Thank you for continually helping us on the road to success :o)))
  • Hi Mervanwe, looking forward to seeing you there!
  • This reminds me of a story my mom told me.

She had an office job in her late teens and has always been a positive, outgoing person. Everyday she would greet her co-workers with a "Good Morning" and a smile.

One man however, would never return the greeting much less acknowledge her presence. Mom still smiled and wished him a good morning.

Some weeks later she was upset about something, distracted from her routine and was about to walk right by the grumpy man. Then something crazy happened. "Good morning, Darlene." He said with a smile.

That was all it took to brighten up the rest of her day! The value of three simple words.

Thanks for sharing, Matt, great show!
  • Hey Jerokiah,

Thanks for sharing that story - love it!
  • Hi Matt,

Great to see you again! It's already great pleasure and honor to meet you in Singapore when you first came in 2007.

Now, I'm able to continue to learn from you from these short, simple and effective video shows... and apply to my life!

    They are awesome!

    Look forward for more...

    Cheers,

  • Great few minutes Matt ... and awesome value. I learned years ago to acknowledge people and make requests, and if that's all I did my life would turn out. Check outs and service desks are a favorite of mine to acknowledge people and often it's a simple "You're doing a great job, and thanks." I love seeing their eyes light up, sometimes it is the first time for days or weeks someone has acknowledged them. Thanks again Matt.
PS You're doing a great job too.
  • Matt,
I always LOVE how asking honestly and with true gratitude seems to bring about results almost every time! Thank you for pointing out that most people don't think to ask!
And also thank you for wanting to give something first . . also not done enough.
  • Great job matt... Fly Eagles or walk with chickens, theirs going to be many eagles flying and adding value with golden eggs
