4 Things We Can Learn About Success From Nike Commercials
Motivational Monday #14
Superbowl Sunday is coming up and you know what that means… Tons of new commercials!
I’m actually not a huge fan of commercials (or TV for that matter) but I’ve found that a good majority of the Nike ads feature messages actually teach us a few lessons about achieving success. In honor of Superbowl Sunday Week, I’ve uncovered a few of my favorite Nike commercials with inspiring lessons about success. Take a look…
Commitment and Sacrifice
To achieve our dreams, we’ve got to be willing to commit to success… We’ve got to be willing to make sacrifices!
The best don’t become the best by sleeping in and skipping work outs or practice sessions. The best become the best by deciding to become successful and committing to do everything it takes to make it!
Once you make the decision to become successful, you disregard every other option. I highly encourage you to choose success!
Take a minute to answer these questions today: How important is becoming successful to you? When will you set aside time to create an action plan you can commit to? What are you willing to sacrifice to reach success?
Drive
On your way to achieving success, you will likely have lots of critics. People may say things like “You can’t do that,” or “You don’t have the talent to reach that level of success,” or maybe “You aren’t educated enough to make that kind of money…”
You may even have to deal with people making false accusations about you or your business.
It’s okay though… Critics are easy to overcome if you are truly driven to reach success. What can you do to create enough drive to push you to success?
DREAM! Dreams are the fuel that fire desire. And desire is the one element that keeps you going when things get rough.
Vince Lombardi once said “Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is.”
Failure Isn’t Always Bad
If you really want to succeed, you must not be afraid to fail. Michael Jordan proves in this commercial that the most successful people often have more failures than everybody else.
Learn to recognize that past failures have no relevance on future successes. In fact, failure should be celebrated just as much as success because of the knowledge and experience we gain from failing.
This quote from Napoleon Hill explains the failure principle so well, “Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.”
Excuses, Excuses
I’ll keep this one short…
Absolutely no excuses!! You can have excuses or you can have results. What you can’t have is both.
