An Entrepreneur’s Guide to Lifestyle Freedom: Episode 20

To be totally honest, I created this episode without a real topic in mind. I’m just really ecstatic about what’s going on in my life right now!

For the last 9 years, I’ve been dreaming of being the owner of a Ferrari 360 Modena with F1 Transmission and it finally happened! Taking delivery of my dream car was such an incredible experience!

The experience made me realize something pretty significant about success though…

This quote from Zig Ziglar sums up my current sentiments perfectly:

“If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.”

The first part about being able to achieve anything you can dream of is absolutely true! The key to making your dreams come true is getting up more times than you get knocked down.

The journey to success isn’t always smooth but it’s always worth getting back up after you take a hit. Getting back up after taking a hit is how you demonstrate true character and leadership abilities!

I heard Zig’s quote at the beginning of my career as an entrepreneur. This quote inspired me to make service to others on a daily basis my ultimate goal!

I’m at an incredible place in my life right now and I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the many people who’ve allowed me to serve them along the way. Helping others get what they want will always be the ultimate reward for me!

I highly encourage you to make it your goal to help someone else get what they want every day! I’d love to hear how you already do that so let’s discuss it in the comments section below…

P.S. If you miss the last episode of The Unemployed Millionaire Show, watch it right here: Episode 19, Why You MUST Write a Bucket List!

P.P.S. I’m curious… What’s your dream car? Tell me in the comments section!

When I first was exposed to the below Zigger, I thought How Totally Stupid. Guess we know who "Stupid" really was. Thanks Matt for sharing. David

  • Matt,

They say great minds think alike, i didn't believe that until I saw your car... Ferrari F1 ... superb cool.. That's my dream car...

Since jobless in 2007, I have been helping people to get what they want... big or small ways...

I guess i'm on the road to becoming an unemployed millionaire.

I like to add this, "everything you can see around you wherever you are, has help someone to become a millionaire...."

Continue to serve and help people to solve problems, you will become the unemployed millionaire one day!!

    God Bless!

Oddly enough, I have my first dream car, A 2000 Jeep Wrangler. Dreamed of it since I was 16, got it when I was 27.

However, my new dream car is a Deep Red Lamborghini Murcielago. Saw one on the road about a month ago and it called to me! I could almost feel myself driving it.

Family car will be a Bentley.

My dream car is the Bentley Continental SuperSports. I saw it for the first time in person this past weekend while in was in manhattan at a track meet and I said to myself, "I have to get this. I'm 21 years old and I want to have it before I hit 25. I love helping others with my business of World Ventures so I know I will be blessed soon.

Congrats on the car Matt! : D

My dream car is never having a need for one in the first place. My dream is to be able to get anywhere on foot, bicycle or the occasional taxi. This way I can appreciate my surroundings.

I wrote this on p. 52 of The Unemployed Millionaire.
  • Hi Matt congrads on the car dude,

I like that saying by Zig Ziglar also, it just does a heart good to help orthers along the way of your own journey towards success.

What with our present economy, we all need to encourage and help one another.

Hope you have lots of fun in the car!!!

This has been a mantra for me too Matt. however it hasn't panned out that way for me.. yet! I have had a few ups in my life but just when I am about to reach my goal I get kicked back down! It is pretty disheartening after 30 years! Still I keep trying to move forward. I am not satisfied with being at the bottom or faiure! My most recent events are 11 months of unemployment that sucked all my capital dry and then a car accident that almost killed me! Am I giving up.. NO WAY! I have a dream! I know where I want to be and I just keep trying, but time is running out for me.. Alas! So dream car? Dunno about that one, Maybe a BMW or Merc, but my real dream Is to own a Harley! Sounds small but so is my bank account right now! My goal is to have a home of my own and a number of investment properties to keep me when I can no longer work!
Helping others has been a way of life for me since I was a kid..
  • Hi Owen, thanks for sharing. Nothing like the freedom of the feeling on a Harley.

    All the best!

Hi Matt, Congrats on the car. Les and I have struggled all of our lives - especially our married lives. We are 69 and 70 years old and don't have the energy, we'd love to have to be even more enthuisastic about this Company. I don't know that either of us have "big dreams" other than the dream of comfort and security has always been important - being able to be comfortable so that we can better share with others. Of course, being fairly new in WVs, we are beginning to realize that travel possibilities are more probable for us. We have made a Dream Trip to Cancun with our son and his family and we hope to do more trips in the future. Cancun is our first trip out of the USA and we've had very few trips within the US also. We are so thrilled to be in a Company that loves people and puts helping people grow as a top priority.

We are enjoying our moments with you on these emails. Thanks, Doris
  • Thanks for the post, Matt. My desktop background changes every 60 seconds and one of the backgrounds is the second part of the Zig Ziglar quotes from above! A friend of mine recently turned me on to Ziglar and I'm always looking for new personal growth material to listen to when I'm in the car. I'm only 24 but I recently felt called by God to launch a business that is based around what I'm passionate about - fitness and nutrition. My business, Higher Purpose Fitness, specializes in running indoor bootcamps. My mission: "To simplify exercise and nutrition while inspiring people to live out their God-given potential to it's fullest."

Dream car: Porsche Cayenne GTS with a manual transmission. I want this because not only is it a fun, fast car (SUV) to drive, but it can tow an enclosed trailer with my race bike inside :)

    Thanks again, Matt!
  • Nice!
  • Thanks for the inspiration Matt, Love the car. I don't have a dream car but I have big dreams. I am 100% confident that I will get what I deserve in due time.

    Thanks again

    Damon

  • Matt Congrats!!

That's the exact car that's on my "Dream List"!

I was thinking that you needed personalized plates...maybe "UNMPLYD"

NO WAIT, that will be on my plates!!

    See you soon!

  • I had that exact same idea... but in Texas, you can only have 6 digits on customized plates! :(
