Motivational Monday #41

This video of a young Chinese girl playing the piano is about to make your day. (I know because watching it absolutely made my day!)

The footage will force you to examine the excuses you make not to tackle those major challenges in your own life. The young girl in this video first sat down at a piano just three years ago!

And the piece she’s playing, “Souvenir D’enfance” by Richard Clayderman, is not an easy piece to play. The girl plays beautifully, with the sort of lyrical maturity not often found in youngsters new to their instruments.

And if that wasn’t enough to wow you, she has no fingers on her right hand. I loved this video because it’s a great reminder of what we can achieve by taking the “T” out of can’t and focusing on what we CAN do instead.

Amazing talent, powerful determination of success inspite of the physical disablity. One CAN achieve what others may not think so.

Wow Matt, This is so awe inspiring. I was near tears watching it, as some in the video were too.

I have wanted to play the piano and I have two good hands, so what is my excuse?

Prior to reading your email, I was watching the news where they were talking with some of the people in a small KS town that got hit by the tornado last evening.

With all the destruction around them, the people were saying they were happy to be alive and they were also talking about the progress they had made in a few hours removing debris.

Man talk about removing the T from can(‘T).

    The human spirit is powerful.

Touching video, surely it is a matter of making use of the God given things,we should use the ability that we have instead giving excuses on the disability that we have!

Awesome video, reminds me of Nick Vujicic who lives life to the fullest even when he’s born without arms and legs. And also the winner of China Got Talent Liu Wei – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1Qut0Nrsiw – who played piano with his toes because he lost his arms due to an accident when he was 5… Their stories have brought hope to thousands and thousands of people… I like the quote “You are responsible for your own dreams!”

It seems that no matter how bad a situation is, even with the lost of arms and legs, anyone can still achieve greatness and pursue their dreams and desired lifestyle.

       Respected Matt Morris.

       Thanks for
interesting video. The history about the young Chinese pianist perfectly
playing a piano, has struck me on the spot. I was some days under impression of
this plot. On my course of life there was one not so young woman, with defect
of a hand, but it excellently consulted with the pedagogical activity. My more
low following story about this remarkable woman.

       It is video
has inspired me. I have written the small story of “DELICACY”.

    DELICACIES

       With
warm-heartedness I recollect the old teacher of children’s home Anna Moiseevnu.
Its eyes were shone by kindness and any kind cunning. The palm of the right
hand at it, except the big finger, was not bent. When a direct grey hair fell
down on eyes, it brought the right hand to the person and the big finger took
away hair back, and then smoothed with their direct palm.

       Happened, I
noticed the latent kind smile and especial shine of its grey eyes on her lips.
Such minutes mysteriously, gesture of the right hand, she will call up me, the
seven-year boy, and will withdraw in the next room where was nobody, and there
was a silence. Here it will lay out any parcel on a table, will develop it and
will treat me with pies with meat or jam, fried fish with bread, cookies,
    apples or still something tasty.

       – Eat, good
my boy, – it tenderly sentenced, stroking me on a head not bent palm.

       I hasty
absorbed its gifts. It was somehow inconvenient me, I was afraid, that somebody
will enter into a room and will see me behind this employment. On the quiet
absorbing Anna Moiseevny’s gifts, I realised, that I do something not that I
betray our children’s orphaned brotherhood where all the general and even the
slightest aspiration to something personal, whether it be the thing or feeling
of tenderness and caress, without was meaningly regarded by pupils as
    treachery.

       Having
stopped to eat, I escaped in other room or in a court yard to children, trying
not to look them in the face.

       I very much
loved Anna Moiseevnu and regretted her when she became angry about any rascal.

       Later, in
some years, I have learnt, that Anna Moiseevna “fed up” not only me, but
also others seven – eight-year pupils of children’s home.
