Motivational Monday #53
This week’s Motivational Monday video features the story of Jorge Munoz – who seems just like a regular guy upon first impression… However, Jorge is one of the most inspiring people you’ll ever meet. A school bus driver by day and an angel by night.
Every night for the past several years, he has gone home and cooked food for hundreds of people on his old stove. He then goes to a street corner in Queens, New York and feeds those that are hungry. He does this with his own money because “it’s the right thing to do”.

Video from KarmaTube
In 1992, British athlete Derek Redmond became one of most celebrated figures in Olympic history — despite never having won an event. It was the 400m semi-final of the Barcelona Olympics and Redmond, who was one of the sprinters tipped to win, tore a hamstring only minutes from the finish line. As emergency staff rushed to his aid, a weeping Redmond hobbled to his feet and began limping to the finish line — he knew he had to finish. His father ran out from the audience and held him until he made to the end, while an audience of millions stood up and gave him a standing ovation.
The video — a testament to the triumph of the human spirit — has since become immortalized in Nike and Visa commercials. How has this week’s Motivational Monday inspired you?
