4 Steps to Problem Solving – Motivational Monday
Problem Solving is the root of many long-term problems we face in our lives. If you’re not diagnosed, then its time to take along, hard, honest look at your problems. For every problem there is a solution. In fact, there are many solutions to even the slightest inconvenience, as well the most major issues in our lives.
The idea here is to be honest. Identify any ailment or disorder in your life, address it, plan accordingly and implement a healthy, long-term solution.
Step One – Identify
Step Two – Address
Step Three – Plan
Step Four – Implement
For example…
Identify the Problem: Your organization may not be growing as quickly as you’d like. You may be putting in all of the work and effort it takes, but it’s just not working as planned.
Adress: This step is all about why. Why is this happening? Why can’t I make more sales, or grow my business?
These are seriously tough questions to ask yourself. No one likes to shine a light on bad news, but that’s the whole point. You need to step out of your comfort zone and be serious about the issue.
By the end of this step, you should have an idea of what is wrong and why is is happening that way.
Plan: This is where you will configure a long-term, healthy solution to your issue. Maybe your organization is not growing because you do not have enough duplication. You can plan to implement more steps for duplication. You can plan to educate yourself, maybe by finding a great example or books to read (like blog posts. 3 Steps to Duplication).
DO YOUR RESEARCH.
Take your time with these steps. Be thorough, be honest, and most importantly be optimistic. These steps are a way of thinking that can be applied to any issue you face.
Lastly, Implement the plan. This is not a diet, nor a short-term solution to an issue. This is a lifestyle change, a strategy change to a business, or a complete change to a way of thinking. It will take work and complete devotion.
Adopting this way of thinking will not only help your life, it is the basis of leadership. Problem solving skills and critical thinking are what set leaders ahead of the pack.
Leaders can face any obstacle and move forward. Taking initiative as a problem solver, and following through, will never steer you in the wrong direction.
Motivational Monday is all about you – The leader who is taking initiative to be the best in the life, business, family and future.
