I wanted to talk about having success as an entrepreneur. I’m in the center of Colombia’s capital city Bogotá‎! In the very center of the city there is a mountain named Monserrate. It’s a rough translation into Monastery, symbolizing the church on top of the mountain.

It’s one hell of a climb. You start at the base of the mountain and follow a very long, winding trail to the top. The idea of climbing the mountain is so exciting at first – You’re fresh, rested, and ready to get to the top. The beginning of the journey is fueled by motivation and inspiration, and the willingness to succeed.

But once the climb starts and you get into the journey… People give up! Suddenly it’s not all that worth it! The view at the top is no longer their priority, they just want to go back to where they started and be comfortable – they quit.

Let me just say, that the view at the top- there is nothing else like it. The scenery is far and beautiful, the air is fresh, and you can relax in the company of everyone who’s made it – because you made it.

If you want success as an entrepreneur, you need to start now and never give up. The path ahead of you is long and winding, sometimes you’re going to go down before you go up – but that’s just part of taking the most rewarding paths in life.
