Life has thrown me many a curve ball. And, honestly, when I get through those times and actually have some time to reflect, I realize those “failures” were my greatest successes. Those were the times when I was so close to quitting, to giving in, to giving up my dreams. I have many examples but today, I’ll share one specific story with you.

Daily Affirmations . . .
You’d have to be living in a cave over the last 10 years if you’ve never heard about positive affirmations. Even though we throw the term “affirmations” around a lot and talk of their importance, there seems to be some confusion around what they are and what makes them so powerful. I can tell you from personal experience that putting daily affirmations into use in my life resulted in HUGE results both personally and financially.

Create a blog in only 7 minutes??? Sounds too good to be true, right?
That’s exactly what I thought before I figured this out…
Listen, I am one of the most technically declined people you’ll ever meet so the thought of creating a blog in 7 hours (let alone 7 minutes) scared the hell out of me!
In fact, late one night several years ago I got really motivated to try setting up my own blog. After about six cups of coffee and five hours later, I seriously thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown. (That was the last time I’ve had that much coffee in one night)
Trying to figure out how to get a domain linked to a hosting company, installing wordpress, trying to figure out what a cpanel is and how to use it, downloading a theme, etc left me utterly confused, frustrated and wanting to give up on the whole idea.
Thank goodness I didn’t give up, though!
After getting some training from some of my more technical blogging buddies, that fear got wiped away and I was able to setup the MattMorris.com blog which, over time, has developed into the highly trafficked website you’re on now.
