When you do what you love, you love life!
What a great motivating video this is about the age old principle, do what you love.
At 98 years old, Joe Brown is no Edward scissor hands but he still gives a mean hair cut that keeps customers coming back for more.
But there’s a sort of hidden secret in this story. He’s blessed to be one of those guys who is able to apply that do what you love principle, that’s obvious. But what’s not so obvious is this.
For people like Joe, it could be cutting hair or cutting grass. Cleaning dishes or sweeping floors. Running a huge company or being a mail man.
See, when you find a way to do what you love, it’s more about a perspective shift of service. The whole trick isn’t about finding something you love so much, you’ll never feel like work. That’s only half the trick.
The other half of the trick to be able to follow the do what you love principle of success is this.
If you don’t love it, change how you look at it until you can find something you love about it and focus on that. Because when you do that, that thing you love expands and becomes the major force and drive that inspires you to excel and pretty soon, that thing you love about what you do becomes what you are doing.
Then, you are one of those people that other people look and at and say, “That’s a person who can say I do what I love!”…
