The Fastest Way To Success
So I’ve been watching this house being built in my neighborhood. And every day I’ve seen a crew roll in, work all day, and leave at night.
And for three weeks this went on but you couldn’t visually see any progress. And if the goal was to build a house, you’d think they were trying every way except the fastest way to success in terms of building a house!
You literally couldn’t see any progress except a bunch of mess and noise. Now what’s amazing is, in the last 2 days it went from nothing to a framed house!
And it got me thinking about how other people see success when they are looking for the fastest way to success.
They see the “overnight success” stories and they read tricks and tips to the fastest way to success but in reality, the fastest way to success is really through spending your time focused on the foundation that success will be built on.
See, once you have a strong foundation, building on it is super fast! And I’m a prime example.
I spent a lot of years trying to fast track it all and you know what? It never worked. It did add to my foundation but really slowly. That approach is nowhere near the fastest way to success, even though it might feel like it is because you can work on that foundation for months or even years and not see any progress, just like this house. But then, one day, when the foundation is complete, it shoots up and looks like another crazy overnight success story.
Everyone loves to see the overnight success story but no one ever really sees what went into creating the foundation that success was built upon.
So you have a choice, you can look for get rich quick programs, search the globe for shortcuts, and spend 5, 10, even 15 years like I did slowly building a foundation or…
You can focus ONLY your foundation (your knowledge, your network, your plan, your skills, your ability, your work ethic, your mindset, your vision, etc) for a few months to a few years knowing you’re not going to see much if any results and then enjoy the skyrocketing success once your foundation is solid.
Both ways work and even though it appears to be the way, focusing in your foundation is by far the fastest way to success you’ll ever find!
