Financial Independence on Independence Day!

First thing, sorry about my voice. I’ve been sick the last couple of days so it’s a little shaky (and yes, I’m still out training for my Kilimanjaro climb doing lunges).

And you know, there are excuses for everything and you can either get strong or make excuses but not both!

So today is July 4th, Independence day for America.

So I wanted to send a quick message out to thank all the veterans who made it possible for our country to be free.

I spent several years in the U.S. Marine Corps and it was an amazing experience. And while I was reflecting in independence day I started thinking about what it took for America to be Independent.

And it took A LOT of fighting. It took a lot of work and effort. So much so that people lost their lives in order to gain our independence.

So today, I want to talk about financial independence. Financial independence is going to come at a price. Just like all of the soldiers had to pay the price for Americas independence, you are going to have to pay the price for financial independence.

And you’re going to have to expect that gaining your financial independence will be a fight. You’re going to have to expect to go out there and do some things that most people are just unwilling to do.

There’s an old saying that says, “I’d rather die on my feet than be a prisoner on my knees”. And most people, when it comes to financial independence, are prisoners.

So this independence day, make a commitment that you are going to create your financial independence! Make a commitment that you will no longer accept being a prisoner who does not have financial independence.

The disparity of wealth is getting bigger and bigger. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

It’s getting harder and harder and harder to maintain the same lifestyle we had 20 years ago and 10-20 years from now it’s going to be even harder to maintain the same lifestyle we have today.

Start fighting now to create financial independence so that your future generations have the same opportunities that we have to carry that forward and create generational wealth!
