A Fun Way To Give Back
I’m always up for a good prank but when you can impact someones life in a positive way while doing it, that’s even better!
One of the most rewarding things about success is the ability to give back in big ways. And many successful people give back and some of them make it really fun like these prank it forward guys.
In this time of the year with the Holiday season just beginning, a lot of people shift their focus to what they are grateful for, what they have, and how to help others.
It’s a time of giving and it creates magic in the air.
So I thought I’d share this fun video of a pretty epic example on a really cool way to give back!
And listen, that old cliche of “you get what you give” is very true. But don’t get caught up thinking that money is the only way to give back.
You don’t have to give money or physical things to give back. You can give time, love, effort, work, even blood!
I have a buddy who grows his hair and donates it so there are many, many ways to give back other than money.
And make no mistake, there are a lot of people looking for a hand out but when you watch a video like this you can clearly see the right way to give back.
They offer a hand up, not a hand out. Because many times a hand out can be a dangerous way to give back. It’s a sensitive topic and issue but I want to focus on the “hand up” and fun side of giving back like we see in this video with this hard working mother of 3.
She’s working her tail off raising 3 kids and is grateful for the opportunities she has and never in a million years expected anything like this and that’s what makes it so touching and powerful.
When you can give someone a hand up it creates pride, confidence, and motivation. When you give someone a hand out it can create a victim mentality that doesn’t help or server that person or anyone else in the long run.
So this holiday season if you’re looking to give back, find some people who could use a hand up and offer them your hand. The rewards are amazing.
