Have you ever wondered how to find a GREAT mentor in network marketing?
If you have, you’re not alone. So many people from all walks of life ask how to find a great mentor and it’s a VERY good question to ask!
I get flooded with emails and messages from people in my network marketing company and other network marketing companies asking me to personally mentor them.
And since there is no way I can possibly mentor all the people who ask me, in this episode of the Unemployed Millionaire Show I want to give you my strategy on how to find a great mentor.
Because finding a great mentor in network marketing is not only smart, it’s pretty much required!
When I was first getting started, I wanted to work with the person who sponsored me, a man who was very successful in network marketing. And I had to do a few things in order to make that happen that I did end up doing and I’m extremely glad I did! So I’m going to share my strategy on how to attract a great mentor by taking a few simple steps.
First, find a mentor who has finical incentive to work with you. If they have finical incentive to work with you, you’re going to be able to command more of their time and attention. They’ll have a vested interest in you!
Then follow these simple steps:
1. Be a joy to work with!
2. Take massive action!
3. Attend EVERY training! (NOTE: If you can’t afford to go to the event, that’s EXACTLY why you need to go to the event. My rule is, if you empty your wallet into your mind, your mind will fill up your wallet!
4. Be coach-able! Do what they tell you to do.
5. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
The mentor who has financial incentive to work with you, want’s to help you. But…
Don’t expect them to call you. You have to be the one calling them. They have a lot of people in their organization and they don’t have time to call everyone. They should have no problem taking calls from you and in fact, it shows them you’re motivated and makes them want to work with you more but if you wait around and be timid about it, their time will be taken up by a line of other people waiting to talk to them. You’ve gotta be aggressive and make some noise because, the squeaky wheel gets the grease!
“It’s well to respect the leader, learn from him, observe him, study him, but don’t worship him. Believe you can surpass, believe you can go beyond!” ~ David J. Schwartz
I strongly encourage you to get this book, read it, and study it!
ALWAYS have the attitude that says “I don’t care how talented, successful, or far a person has gone, I can surpass! I can go beyond that!”.
That’s the kind of attitude your mentor is going to want you to have.
And one final thought…
If you’re looking for that “magical mentor” or that “magical leader“, it’s not there.
The magic lives in you.
When you become your greatest motivation, that’s when everything starts happening for you!
