Today, I’m sharing an inspirational story that brought tears to my eyes of one kid’s courage and desire to reach a goal no matter what the obstacles. I know you’ve heard me talk about your “why”. Without a strong “why”, many people give up and focus on the obstacles versus the goal.
If you’re unfamiliar with this term, your WHY is what drives the passion the soul and the purpose in your heart and your business.
I’ve noticed that the happiest and most successful people I know are the ones who are in business for a reason larger than themselves. I believe this is because they’re driven by something way more powerful than fear or need . . . it’s passion and desire for something more meaningful and lasting. Your why applies to how you live your life.
Enter Connor and Cayden Long’s Inspirational Story . . .
Connor’s an 8-year old big brother to Cayden, who’s a physically challenged 6-year old with Cerebral Palsy. Connor came up with a lofty goal of something that had never been done, and people told him it’s impossible and can’t be done. He didn’t care because he wanted to give his brother the best life possible. Check out this video to see the unexpected activity that brought these boys together and had Connor accepting an award on national tv, stating, “We can always do anything.”.

“We can always do anything.” -Connor Long
So I ask you again, “How strong is YOUR why?” Connor put in hundreds of hours of training, finished last time and time again . . . but, at the end of every race, he looked back at his baby brother smiling and laughing and realized this is just the beginning!
