Books, audios, videos like this one you’re watching now, articles, interviews, and face to face guides.
Sometimes you think you know best. Sometimes you think you’re prepared.
But when you realize that your mentor in network marketing has already been where you want to go, has already seen what lies around the bend, and you start to listen to them, even if it makes no sense to you, you’ll create the same kind of success they have.
But its not just about finding a mentor in network marketing, it’s about utilizing their mentor-ship correctly.
Sometimes the things your mentor in network marketing tells you to do will seem very counter-intuitive.
If you’ve ever seen the original karate kid movie, you’ll know what I mean.
When his mentor has him wax his cars but he has him do it in a very specific way.
Daniel, the student, doesn’t see anything happening other than cleaning this crazy old man’s cars up for him.
But his mentor knows that he is building the necessary muscles and learning the necessary moves he needs to be able to perform the necessary karate moves to defend himself.
Much like my climb up Kilimanjaro.
If I did it my way, I probably would have failed to reach the summit.
Even though the things my guide were saying didn’t make sense to me, and I got frustrated because I thought I knew better, had I not listened to him my body may have been too weak from altitude sickness to continue no matter how much my will refused to quit.
We had to go down to go up sometimes. We went at what seemed like a stupid slow pace sometimes.
And I was even confused because I was in great shape. I felt great! I wanted to go at my pace.
Having a guide that I followed, made it so I was able to make one of my dreams come true.
Finding a mentor in network marketing AND being highly coach able no matter if it makes sense to you or not, is the key to creating success.
