Some of the richest people in the world…
I’m in Africa right now with some of the richest people on the planet!
They may not have a lot of money, they may not have the luxuries we do, they may not share the same comfortable leaving conditions that we do, but they are RICH!
Rich with love, happiness, authenticity, kindness, curiosity, work ethic, and most of all, gratitude.
It’s a truly humbling, enlightening, and energizing experience to be able to be of service to these wonderful people here and help them clean up there towns and villages, help them build fresh water collections systems, and help the young kids get the opportunity to enjoy the education we often times take for granted.
I wanted to share this video to show you that riches doesn’t ONLY equal money.
It takes a combination of things to be truly and authentically rich and many of those things are the most simple and readily abundant things on the planet that ALL of have at our disposal, regardless of what our current circumstances are.
What this video is showing it that when you put love, passion, selflessness, and effort behind something that truly and deeply adds value to another human beings life, you get rewarded 1000 times more than you put in.
When you can gather up 1000’s of plastic bottles, tons of trash and rubbish, and transform that stuff into a school so these kids can get an education, that’s an amazing thing.
But when you see a crew full of little kids sitting around stuffing bottle with trash using sticks happy as larks and having a great time doing knowing that they are creating a school for themselves and their friends, that’s pure magic!
And the key idea I want to leave you with is about success. It’s a real simple concept.
The scales are tipped in favor of us as far as exchange of value. We get SO SO SO much more value added to our lives by our service to these kids than they get from us.
And here’s the REAL message in this Motivational Monday…
Strive for success if for nothing else simply because the more you have, the more freedom and empowerment you can give through making limitless decisions on who, how, and when you will spend your time, effort and money.
And service to others is truly the fuel that keeps the success engines burning strong!
Be grateful this week, look for ways you can be of service, and maybe even give a little more than you think you can or normally would!
