Prepare for Success to Avoid Failure
We’ve all heard that not taking the time or effort to prepare for success is really preparing for failure.
And as I’m sitting here in the airport waiting to board my flight to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, an old quote I heard years ago popped into my mind.
“Chance favors the prepared mind…” from Louis Pasteur.
So what does that mean?
Well, obviously the way to prepare for success to climb the mountain is through a lot of physical training and endurance training.
To prepare for success physically is vitally important and it’s a required action in order to have any chance of success on your climb.
But there’s more to it than that. You must also prepare for success mentally.
Just like in every aspect of life, you’ll have opportunities come up or “chances” to make a move and if you haven’t take the time to prepare for success mentally, things like fear, self doubt, uncertainty, etc can and usually do stop you from taking action when the chance to create success presents itself.
To truly prepare for success means preparing your mind and beaching the person you need to be in order to take action without hesitation when opportunities present themselves to you.
So how do you prepare for success in terms of your mind?
It’s easy. You constantly feed your mind knowledge, inspiration, motivation, possibility, and wisdom.
For example, watch all of my videos. Every single one of them. Why? Because there is no “one thing” that does it all. You’ll get pieces of the puzzle in each piece of information. You get little nuggets of gold each time you watch a video, read a book, go to a seminar, listen to a speaker, etc.
It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve read it, seen it, watched, or heard it, each time there will be a new little nugget of valuable mental fuel for you to use.
So remember that chances and opportunities will always show up, the only question is, are you going to be prepared to take action on them without hesitation when they are presented to you?
