When I was 21 I was homeless… At 24 I was working as a waiter, living at home with my mom and $30,000 in debt… A year later I was earning six figures… and by the age of 29, a self-made millionaire.
Everyone always wants to know how to become a millionaire and is always specifically asking me how I did it. Today’s blog is quite possibly, the #1 strategy I used so please don’t discount this information.
I’ll be real open, most of you who read this and watch this video will simply be too lazy to do what I’m outlining here. For those of you who do apply this strategy on how to read a book, or rather following my personal growth plan I outline in the video, you’re going to become remarkable… and will actually have an amazing chance of becoming a millionaire.
Recap – How to Read a Book to Become a Millionaire
- Make sure you have your success library with the books that will help you become a millionaire. Obviously, (wink, wink) I recommend my book, The Unemployed Millionaire, but another great resource are the Top 20 Best Self Help Books of All Time.
- Get a quality jornal that you will keep with you the rest of your life for note taking.
- When you read, for maximum learning, always have a pen, a highlighter, and your journal with you. Highlight the most powerful learning points in the book, re-write them in your journal. Once you’ve finished the book, go back and re-read your notes and highlight the most important points from your notes.
Here’s a great rule – If you can’t change your situation, you must change yourself. If you’ve been struggling, feeling like you’ve hit a plateau in life, feeling frustrated, pissed off, let me give you the solution…
Change yourself!
Commit to, at a bare minimum 10 pages per day from a great book. Personally, I commit at least one hour per day to learning and I’ve followed that personal growth plan for over 15 years now. If you want to become a millionaire, you have to do what most others are unwilling to do!
As you create your success library of books, and more importantly of your journal notes, this will be a reference you will be able to use the rest of your life to help touch, move and inspire yourself and others to create your ultimate lifestyle.
Make life an adventure!
