The Resilience To Get Dirty!
Coming to you from Sandia Peak New Mexico. The view is amazingly beautiful from up here so I thought I’d record a show.
On my way out here I was reading a book on the plane by Robert Ringer. He had an analogy that I really wanted to share. I think this is a perfect analogy for Network Marketing.
He talks about how in South Africa they dig for diamonds. And to get one tiny little pebble of a diamond, they literally need to dig through tons and tons of dirt. But they know, that somewhere in that dirt, is the diamond they’re searching for and it gives them the resilience to keep going.
Can you imagine the resilience it would takes to dig and search through piles of dirt lager then houses just to try to find a stone the size of an eraser on the end of a pencil?
Well, it’s really not that much different than what we do in our profession. We’ve got to sort through a lot of “dirt” and that requires the same kind of resilience. And it’s the people who find or develop that resilience to dig through A LOT of dirt to find the diamonds that end up with massive success.
The key to developing that type of resilience is knowing you’re going to have to dig through a lot of dirt and being willing to get dirty! That’s just part of the game.
The miners just know! They go to work knowing that they are going to be digging through a ton of dirt. They may not find a diamond that day, but that doesn’t mean they won’t find the diamond another day as long as they keep digging!
You MUST be prepared for it. You MUST have the resilience to keep digging, even if you don’t find the diamond with the first scoop because the people who do, the few that develop that resilience through never giving up are the people who reap the massive rewards!
GO GET DIRTY! 😉
