The Gift of Giving

The gift of giving

I really love the way advertising is changing and spreading a different message.

The question always comes up:

Is it better to give or receive?

Now, we’ve all heard of the gift of giving. And the gift of giving can mean a lot of things but primarily, it refers to the rewards you receive when give or performance act of kindness.

Studies have shown that anyone who gives will receive the gift of giving by your body actually producing higher levels of serotonin, the feel good chemicals in your brain.

And it doesn’t stop there. Even people who simply observe the act of giving or kindness receive the gift of giving and their serotonin increases as well.

So what’s better? Giving or receiving?

Really, they are one in the same. You cannot give without a receiver. And you cannot receive without the giver.

And either through giving or being the recipient of a gift or act of kindness, both receive the real gift of giving.

A little bit of happiness!

I love how these big companies are shifting their advertising and marketing focus to help spread messages that make the world a better place. And in the spirit of the holidays, this is a great message to be reminded of.
