Are You Asking the Right Questions?
Here’s a little nugget I shared this week on a small leadership coaching zoom.
When I want to achieve a goal, I make it a point to identify what the most important questions are that will help me achieve that goal.
Once I’ve identified the questions, I “stay in the question.”
When I say “stay in the question”, what I mean by that is that I ask that question to myself constantly.
If my goal is hitting the next rank in my company in the next 30 days, and I’m 90 sales away, I ask the question, EVERY DAY, “How can I produce 3 sales per day?”
I wake up asking that question, I go to bed asking that question, and I think about it all throughout the day.
Essentially, I get obsessed about that one question that will propel me to my goal.
So here’s your homework…
- Think about what you want.
- Identify one or two questions that will help you get what you want.
- Ask that question obsessively.
What I’ve realized is true is that you get what you focus on.
As a great book once said, “You have not because you ask not”.
Let’s do BIG things together!
