George Floyd’s Death, Police Brutality & Racism in America

May 31, 2020 by 5dmin

A white man’s thoughts and feelings of helplessness regarding the death of George Floyd…

I wasn’t planning on sharing my thoughts about George Floyd’s death and certainly not racism in America as I don’t pretend to be any kind of expert. But this has been weighing so heavily on my heart the past few days, it’s all I can think to write about this morning.

Just in case you don’t know the story, the police were called on George Floyd for using a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill. The incident ended with a police officer suffocating and killing Mr. Floyd… despite his pleas and bystanders pleas for mercy. A quick check at CNN or FOX will give you no shortage of information.

Video footage released thus far, does not show any evidence of Mr Floyd resisting arrest. But even if there was evidence of that, it appears very clear that the officer was beyond excessive in his use of force. [Read more…]

Close More Sales in Network Marketing

May 8, 2020 by 5dmin

Want to know how sleazy-scum-bag politicians can help you close more sales in network marketing?

I’m really not much into politics… but one thing is for certain…

Successful politicians win campaigns because they understand what is arguably the most potent human emotion that drives people get out and vote…

FEAR

Sure, they make an effort to talk up their own credentials and policy issues…

But there’s a reason politicians run negative ads after negative ads slinging mud at their opponents…

If they don’t sling mud, they can’t implant gut-wrenching, nightmare-inducing FEAR into your mind of the devastating negative effects that will ensue should their opponent get elected.

Oh sure, everyone says they hate those negative ads but they continue to run.

And they always will.

Why?

Simple – fear works!

Use FEAR to close more sales in network marketing

Now I’m not saying to sling mud at your competition in network marketing… in fact, I teach against it.

What I am saying, is to induce fear like the below quote:

“In your last days, you’ll regret far more the things you didn’t do than the things you did do.”

That’s me using the fear of regret to get you to live an amazing life.

One of Tony Robbin’s most powerful closed-eye processes that he’s used to positively impact the lives of untold thousands of people is from something he calls the Dickens Process.

I won’t explain it in detail, but he masterfully gets you to imagine the worst possible scenario for your life should you fail to make the changes you know you need to make.

If you’ve ever been in the room when he does this, no doubt you remember the howls and screams from other participants.

You see, you may be willing to work hard to accomplish great things. But you’ll do even more because of the fear of regret for NOT doing them.

If you’re selling nutrition, people will do more to avoid being stricken with poor health than they will for excellent health.

Selling skin-care? people will do more to avoid looking old and wrinkled than they will to look young and sexy.

If you’re selling travel, people will do more to avoid regretting missing out on experiencing the world than getting to see the world.

Promoting events? People are more likely to go because of what they’ll miss out on if they don’t go compared to what they’ll learn if they do go.

No matter what you’re selling, realize that fear and regret are powerful motivators & incredibly powerful when used to close more sales in network marketing… even more powerful than the desire for gain.

You may not like this.

In fact, philosophically, you may hate it…

…But after personally selling millions of dollars online, in person, and from the stage, I can tell you from two decades of experience that this is the God’s honest truth.

Here’s what I’ll ALSO tell you…

If you try and use fear as manipulation (getting people to do what’s in YOUR best interest, not what’s in THEIR best interest), any success you have will be short-lived.

I’ve seen plenty of charlatans use fear as manipulation. It works. But I can promise you, not for long.

If you use fear to manipulate, the compound negative effects from sowing negative seeds will wreak havoc on your life.

I won’t name names, but I could give you plenty of people who have lost it all and more because of the compound negative effects of using manipulation.

If you’re going to use fear, use it because it’s genuinely in the best interests of your prospects to do whatever you’re influencing them to do.

Here’s a quick example…

I spent 5 long and painful years getting to a full-time income in network marketing. I struggled like crazy… wanted to quit 1,000 times… and thought so many times that maybe I’m just not cut out for this entrepreneurial thing. It sucked!

Then I discovered the 7 strategies outlined in my new book at www.7StrategiesBook.com. Once I implemented these principles into my business, my life took a 180-degree turn and I quickly got to a full-time income and have been crushing it for almost 20 years now.

If you’d like to shorten your learning curve DRAMATICALLY and not have to go through the 5 years of pain I went through, hop over to www.7StrategiesBook.com and pick up a copy. It’s $7 ($1 per strategy) and only 109 pages and you can read it in the afternoon.

Or, you can go it alone and spend the next 5 years continuing to bang your head against a wall as I did.

(Notice how I used the fear of staying stuck as a motivator to buy the book?)

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed today’s blog as much as I enjoyed writing it!

The Irrational Qualities of Great Leadership

May 6, 2020 by 5dmin

If you look at people who express the qualities of great leadership, you tend to notice a stubborn refusal to face reality.

Bill Gates had a vision of “a computer on every desk and in every home.”

The REALITY at that time made that vision unimaginable.

Martin Luther King had a vision of all men enjoying the same rights and privileges.

The REALITY at that time was massive segregation and unimaginable racism.

Nelson Mandela had a vision of ending apartheid in South Africa and instituting a democracy.

The REALITY was he went to prison for 27 years because of his efforts toward that vision.

We look at those visions now and they don’t seem so unrealistic because they are now today’s reality.

But let’s dive into a possible vision for you…

You, 12 months from now…

Earning a full-time income from home…

Financially free with a residual income that more than pays all your bills.

You, 2-3 years from now…

Earning 6 to multiple 6 figures per year.

You, 3-5 years from now…

A millionaire. Driving an exotic car, vacationing all over the world, and living in your dream home.

If any of those sound unrealistic…

My coaching for you is to stop basing your vision on today’s reality.

If I based my vision of becoming a millionaire in my twenties based on the reality of me failing for 5 years in a row, being a waiter, and living at home with my mother at age 24…

… I NEVER would have made my vision a reality.

After 25 years of entrepreneurship and studying the qualities of great leadership leaders, here’s what I see as common among ultra-powerful leaders.

  • They are irrational. What most see as impossible, they see as possible.
  • Great leaders live in an alternate reality. When the world is caving in and all seems lost, they have faith and certainty of a beautiful future.
  • They are delusional with their faith. When they can’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, they continue moving forward as if the light was blinding them.
  • Great leaders have an infectious optimism. They cause others to have irrational faith for no reason other than the leaders certainty is stronger than their doubt.
  • They have the ability to convince us that all is not lost even when we’re afraid it is.

My friend, I don’t care WHAT downturn in the economy happens.

I don’t care if the entire world is caving in fear.

Nor do I even care if I’m stripped of everything I earn and every dollar I have.

I can guarantee you that I will win massively.

Why?

Because that’s what I choose.

That’s who I’ve decided I am.

Step into your power and decide that’s who you are.

5 Recruiting Tips From an Idiot…(Don’t use these!)

May 4, 2020 by 5dmin

Years ago, I had this guy in my organization who was, we’ll just say, a character…

This was before I learned the rule: Only work with people who are a joy to work with.

At the time, I was like a rabid dog hungry to achieve success and I would work with just about anyone who would fog a mirror.

I’ll change the name to protect the guilty so let’s just call him Rufus.

Now, Rufus is about to drop some of the greatest recruiting tips you should never use…

But first, let me tell you a bit about Rufus.

Rufus was one of these guys who was SUPER excited.

Which, in itself, is a great quality.

I love working with people who are excited like me…

…but Rufus was like a Jack Russell Terrier jump-al-over-you, WAY over the top, hyped up on too many caffeine pills kind of excited.

Somehow, and I still don’t know how, Rufus managed to enroll quite a few people because he was willing to talk to anyone and, unfortunately, say anything.

His sponsor was a good guy but not super active so he introduced Rufus to me over the phone so I could support Rufus with three-way calls. I was more than excited to have someone actually doing something in my group so I made myself happily available.

The happily part went away pretty quickly after we did a few calls. You’ll realize why after I give you a few of Rufus’ favorite recruiting techniques. He was the perfect example of what NOT to do.

The Top Recruiting Tips to NEVER Use…

Idiot Recruiting Tip #1:

Promise them a lot of spillovers.

Rufus’ saying was, “lock in your spot because we’re driving this leg to China.”

Idiot Recruiting  Tip #2:

Tell them it’s easy and the product “sells itself”.

Idiot Recruiting  Tip #3:

Lie about your income or your upline’s income.

Idiot Recruiting  Tip #4:

Tell them they’re missing out and will regret it if they don’t join.

Idiot Recruiting  Tip #5:

If they’re in another network marketing company, bad mouth their company and tell them how much better yours is.

I managed to do about 5 calls with Rufus before I stopped taking his calls and, I kid you not, he worked in all 5 of the above.

Sometimes I wonder what Rufus is doing today. If I had to guess, probably prison or an illegal Ponzi scheme.

Anyway, thought you’d get a kick out this.

Why You Should Never Give Up On Your Dreams

April 22, 2020 by 5dmin

How my dead grandpa inspired me to never give up on my dreams…

A few years ago I got hooked on searching for my ancestry online.

How cool would it be to have an ancestor who was a founding father of the nation, influential politician, or a major business leader?

Well, after a week or two of searching, I couldn’t find anything past my 6th great grandfather…

…And all the way up the chain – nothing special.

Mostly farmers.

My high hopes of having someone “remarkable” to serve as an inspiration washed down the drain.

But what was kind of cool was that my 6th great grandfather was buried in East Texas a couple of hours from where I live in Dallas.

A couple of months after I discovered this, my daughters happened to have a school campout about 20 minutes from the cemetery.

So, when I picked them up from camp, I took them to see their 7th great-grandpa.

We walked around the small cemetery and finally found his grave.

It was a pretty surreal feeling standing there looking at the grave of my oldest known ancestor.

As I stood there, it struck me that he was never mentioned once in my entire life.

Not Once…

Come to think of it, I never even heard the name of anyone past my grandfather.

All the way up the line…

They lived.

Died.

…And were quickly forgotten.

No memoirs, pictures or statues.

Not a shred of evidence of their life other than the mention in ancestry records and the small weathered gravestone.

As I stood there holding my two daughters’ hands, I felt a little sadness.

But after a few moments standing there in silence, I started getting goosebumps.

A powerful feeling came over me as I realized the incredible blessing I’ve been given to break the cycle of “forgotten-ness” that came before me.

Within my power, I hold the incredible capability of doing something so remarkable in my life that I’ll be known for generations after I’m gone.

Instead of my 6th generation grandchildren coming to my grave knowing nothing about me, they’ll be able to read my books, see my videos, and read about the impact I was able to make.

Even more inspiring was the thought that, just like my mom who inspired me…

I have the ability through my example, to inspire my children to do great things.

You, my friend, hold that same power.

You may have been letting your power lie dormant for quite some time…

…But you have it within you right now as you read these words.

You may be going through struggles, feel lost and hopeless, and feel down on yourself and wonder how the hell you could ever serve to inspire someone else…

If you feel any of that, believe me, I’ve felt all of those feelings and so much more.

I’ve had times where I couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel and had to hold on to blind faith that there was a way out. So many times I’ve been at the end of my rope and I just had to tie a knot and hang on.

I don’t know where you are, but you need to know that where you’ve been has absolutely no control over where you’re going.

You have so much more power inside you than you realize.

In my darkest hours, thank goodness I searched for mentors that could help me find my light.

Because I refused to give up on my dreams, I’ve been blessed beyond belief to have the significance of knowing that I’ve been able to inspire many others to achieve their dreams as well.

Don’t give up, my friend. You can do this.
