Leadership in Network Marketing

September 13, 2016 by 5dmin

There are many ways to establish leadership in network marketing.

An easy way to tell if your leadership is strong is to watch your team when YOU are taken out of the equation. If your team dissolves, that’s a pretty good sign that your leadership is not as strong as it could be. At that point, your attitude, energy and charisma bonding your team together. This is typical of the first stage of leadership where your team is dependent on you.

Whatever you are doing always have the mindset that you want to replace yourself. You never want to be the guru. You never want to be presentation-man. Duplication of leadership in network marketing is extremely important.

Leadership development is much more an art than it is a science.

Check out this video about developing leadership in network marketing, and specifically with your downline!

Generate Leads in Network Marketing

August 25, 2016 by 5dmin

What’s the best way to generate leads in network marketing–what are the lead generation sources that can help to find people, and what do I do when I find them?

Facebook is an amazing way to generate leads in network marketing. Chances are you’ve got hundreds of friends on there! If you’ve never talked before you can say, “Hey, we’ve been friends for a while and never talked! I want to know more about you. What do you do?”

You know, most of us have a ton of friends that we’ve never messaged back and forth with–but somehow we became friends. If you have people who you see on Facebook that have motivational quotes, then you know they got something going on. Start a relationship!

If my back was really against the wall, if I lost everything and I had to start from scratch, what would I do to generate leads in network marketing?

I’d go to Starbucks. I’d go start asking people, “Hey are you married to your job? Be open minded man, you’ve got an amazing personality. Are you open to doing anything business-wise or career-wise outside what you’re doing here at Starbucks, outside what you’re doing at AT&T, at the T-Mobile store, whatever! I just go do that and I could go get 3, 4, 5, 6 leads a day! One of those will convert to an appointment where I’m going to present to. One out of every three or four that I’m gonna show the business actually get started!

Okay, so what do you do if you met them on Facebook? What is the next step?

First, to check interest you get on the phone with them. Better yet, you meet with them in person and you show them your products, your services, and your opportunity.

Attraction Marketing for Acquaintances

August 23, 2016 by 5dmin

Here’s a question — how do you change your approach for someone who is just an acquaintance?

If it’s someone that you’re good friends with, then you can call them and say, “Hey, what are you doing right now? I’m coming over,” or “let’s meet for coffee.” You’re not gonna have to explain a whole lot there as far as attraction marketing for acquaintances goes.

If someone is just an acquaintance that might be a little bit different. For that instance it might just be, “Hey, I’ve got an idea I want to run by you, when can we have coffee?” Or you can say, “Hey, coffee this week?”

If you are acquaintances and if you kind of know each other, then they likely know there’s a reason what you want to meet. If it feels appropriate to just say, “coffee this week?” Then go ahead and do that.

If you feel like you need to soften a little bit my key is this–if they’re an acquaintance, if they’re good friend, whoever they are if you try to do a presentation over the phone and explain how your product or service works, then they’re less likely to enroll.

Why?

Because that’s you being a salesperson. If you’re a salesperson on the phone, then they think they’re gonna have to sell it over the phone too.

The key is to set an appointment. It could be long-distance. It could be over the phone or Skype–something like that. Ideally, if they’re in your local area, you meet face-to-face.

I’ve been there so many times… when I use attraction marketing for acquaintances, then I’ll call and say:

“Hey Jerome, it’s Matt. We met the other day we met a week ago/two weeks ago at Chipotle. We were in line together and we talked about our kids and baseball. So listen this is crazy shot in the dark because I don’t really know you that well, but you strike me as a really sharp guy. If you’re open to the idea of earning some additional income I’ve got an idea that i’d love to run by you. I think it might prove to be fruitful for you.”

If he’s like, “what is it?” I’m not going to get into a presentation over the phone. I say I’m a partner in a marketing company in the nutrition space, in the Wellness space, in the anti-aging space (in the–whatever it may be).

Basically, it’d be impossible to try and explain over the phone, but if you’re open to sit down for 20 minutes for coffee I’d love to see if there’s any synergy between us working together.

You’re kind of checking interest in that case. If they say “No…” Great! That means they’re not open, so go talk to someone else! Don’t worry about converting everyone. You don’t want to convert everyone!

You’re looking for people who are looking for your products or services or your opportunity. You’re looking for hungry motivated people. Bottom Line: Don’t worry about trying to sell, convince, and get everyone! That’s the nature of attraction marketing with acquaintances. No one is going to get everyone, there is no perfect invite. The key is invite more and more people.

Keys to Personal Production

August 3, 2016 by 5dmin

I wanted to come to you with a quick message I had a little coaching session with one of my leaders earlier today. The topic of personal production came up, and the question is how many people do you need to personally enroll?

While I’m not going to give you an exact answer, but what I can give you is you know what I’ve done personally and what it’s led to. Over the last seven years that I’ve been with my company, I have personally enrolled about 130 people in seven years.

There’s an interesting thing that happens, as a leader, rarely are you going to have people in your organization out-enroll you. I checked a few years ago and there was only one other distributorship in my entire organization of over a hundred thousand people that had out-enrolled me, and it was a partnership of three people.

If you want have an organization with a lot of people doing a lot of personal production, you’ve got to set the bar really really high.

That’s why I’ve personally put in well over 200 people, and why I continue to keep personally enrolling and building new teams.

What’s been able to manifest from this that I have one team over 800,000 customers, another team over 400,000 customers, another team over 50,000 customers, another team over 40,000 customers, and other team over 23,000 customers another team over 13,000 customers, another team over 4,000 customers.

All of this came from my own personal production that constructed a team of thousands.

Now I’d like to mention a common mistake that so many networkers make. They want to “lead themselves to the top,” meaning they want to manage their way to the top. They are the best up line, they are there for three way phone calls, they are doing training webinars and calls all the time.

They are training their organization to death.

It’s good to be doing those leadership type actions, but in my opinion there are secondary to personal production. Your team needs to see you producing on a regular basis a consistent basis. I learned this from the late Mark Yarnell, he said you want to keep personally enrolling people into your organization until you’re at the income level that you want to retire at.

While I have a great income right now, but it’s not the level I want to retire at. So I’m continuing to build new teams. Hopefully this message helps you to go out and continue to personally produce.

If you feel like this can be of some value to some others, I’d definitely love for you to share it to your teams.

If you want to get some additional training you can hop over to Matt Morris com put your name and email address and subscribe to my weekly newsletter you’ll get these videos delivered to your inbox every single week!
