Devon and I went for a run this morning around White Rock Lake here in Dallas with Bella.

Bella is our neurotic, yet amazingly adorable and loving Golden Doodle. (More about Bella another time)

As we got about a mile in, which is where I started to hit my stride and stopped feeling like I needed to just lay down on the side of the trail, I started thinking about my blog post for you today.

Unlike a couple days ago when I couldn’t think of anything to say, today the message is crystal clear… and super powerful if you’ll absorb it.

You know my story – I struggled for 5 years before I got to a full-time income.

When it hit, it hit big and I went from broke to $40,000 a month in six months.

I would assume that most people inherently know the importance of self-growth or what I like to call Kaizen…

Kaizen is the Japanese term that refers to Constant and Never-ending Improvement. (Also called CANI)

Any intelligent person would agree that consuming 15 minutes a day of learning towards becoming a better entrepreneur, parent, lover, leader, etc is a worthy use of time.

No one disputes it.

So that begs the question, “why don’t more people do it?”

When I got started in network marketing, my dream was to have an organization of 5,000 people because that’s the size team my up-up-up-upline had. He drove a Dodge Viper, wore a Rolex and had a beautiful piece of land out in the country.

I was super motivated by his success.

The problem was, I couldn’t imagine in a million years building a team of that size. It was well beyond my realm of belief and vision as an 18 year old college student.

Today, I can’t even count the number of weeks I’ve had 5,000 new customers join my team in a single week. My teams have grown to over 1.5 million total customers over the years which is something I couldn’t have imagined even 10 years ago after becoming a top earner. But as I hit new levels of success, that expanded my vision.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with so many amazingly capable people who share that same challenge. They just can’t imagine building a team that gets to the thousands of people it requires to hit the top level of the compensation plan.
